Poem by Wilma Colby
My Carson Tour
Mike, it was a pleasure
To travel south with you.
Your daily inspiration helped
And there was Allan too!
The highways were spectacular,
And of course there was the view.
I thoroughly enjoyed the trip
And the fellow passengers too!
The Virginia city visit
Was the high-lite of the day.
Imagining the Cartwright's there
Keeping busy everyday.
Managing wooden sidewalks
When they went into town
To get their weekly groceries
Before the sun went down.
I hope to plan a trip again
If I can find a way
To gather money, time and steam
Then I'll be on my way.
